Grenache Blanc

Akin to Chardonnay this varietal which originated in Northern Spain is loved for its intense flavours, high alcohol content and decadent style. It is mostly found in Rhône blends and especially as one of the major components in the white wines of Châteneuf du Pape. The grade is vigorous in growth and fairly flexible in winemaking, producing wines with green fruit and citrus flavours. Particularly good with Moroccan and similarly spiced dishes.
