Grenache Blanc

seafood, rich fish dishes or cuisine with a subtle hint of spice

Our Grenache blanc is grown as high density (6600/ha) echalas vines. These staked vines create a totally different micro-climate than traditional bush vine Grenache blanc. Lower temperatures within the echalas vine ensure a higher acidity and a different aromatic complexity. The bunches are less sun exposed when the day temperature reaches its maximum, which ensures longer hanging time to stagger our pickings.

The wine was aged for 10 months in oak

Our vineyard and winery are located on the rocky sloped of the Olifantsberg mountain overlooking the breedekloof valley. We always aim to have a natural approach and minimal intervention throughout the lifetime of the wines. Our main focus is producing wines that capture our unique location, diverse soils and natural expression of our vineyards. Our vineyards produce grapes which culminate in wines with alluring purity of fruit and elegance.
