Shipping & Delivery
Shipping & Delivery
Everything you need to know about getting your wine from cellar door to your door, whether you're ordering within South Africa or further afield.
How does shipping work on Port2Port?
Port2Port is a marketplace, which means your wines are sourced directly from wineries and trusted retailers rather than from one central warehouse. This gives you access to an extensive selection of premium, rare and award-winning wines while protecting provenance and cellaring conditions.
If your order contains wines from multiple sellers, they may arrive in separate shipments. We'll always show you how your order is grouped, along with the applicable delivery costs, at checkout before you place your order.
How much does delivery cost?
Unless otherwise indicated, delivery within South Africa is R99, with free delivery when you spend R1,500 or more with the same vendor. Some vendors manage their own deliveries, so their delivery fees and free-delivery thresholds may differ. Where this applies, you'll see the relevant information on the product page and at checkout.
Why am I paying for more than one shipment?
Because Port2Port connects you with wines held by different wineries and retailers across South Africa, an order containing products from multiple vendors may require multiple shipments.
Before starting another shipment, look out for opportunities in your cart and at checkout to add more wines from a vendor you're already shopping from. It's an easy way to discover more producers without adding another delivery fee.
Can I shop multiple wine brands in one shipment?
Yes. Some Port2Port vendors house wines from multiple producers, giving you the opportunity to shop across several brands while keeping them together in one shipment.

Orders within South Africa are typically delivered within 3 to 4 business days to main centres and 5 to 6 business days to outlying areas from dispatch, excluding weekends and South African public holidays.
Because your wine may be coming directly from a winery or retailer, dispatch and delivery times can vary slightly between shipments. If your order contains multiple shipments, they may also arrive at different times.
Do you ship wine internationally?
Yes, Port2Port ships to the UK, most US states, much of Europe, Australia, New Zealand and parts of Asia.
International orders are handled with the assistance of our team so that we can confirm availability, shipping costs and any import requirements applicable to your destination before your wine leaves South Africa.
International delivery times and requirements vary by country, and certain destinations may require permits or have restrictions on the importation of alcohol.

What happens if my wine is damaged in transit?
Wine deserves to arrive in the same condition it left the cellar.
In the unlikely event that your order is damaged in transit, please contact our team. Depending on the circumstances and availability, Port2Port will arrange a replacement, voucher or refund for the affected wines.
