Colour: The wine displays a stunning golden straw colour. Nose: The aromas on the nose are complex and subtle. With notes of white peach, grapefruit, quince, a slight nuttiness and a hint of vanilla. There is a faint floral perfume of jasmine and citrus blossom. Palate: The palate is rich and complex with white peachy and riper yellow fruit notes. The mid-palate is rich and creamy, yet the wine has a fantastic dry pithy grip to it. There is a long saline finish to the wine with a freshness without a pronounced acidity. This wine will have the ability to age for a number of years.

This is a Cape White blend comprised of 66% Chenin blanc, 15% Clairette blanche, 10% Viognier and 9% Grenache blanc. The grapes are all sourced from vineyards situated on the northern slopes of the Paardeberg mountain growing in weathered granite soils. Most of the vineyards are older bush-vines, unirrigated and low yielding. Each vineyard and variety are picked at various sugar and flavour ripeness levels to express the site best and to contribute their unique character to the blend. The 2022 harvest in the Swartland was smaller than average, impacted by heatwaves and dry conditions. The growing season started with a cool period, which delayed ripening, but the harvest was accelerated by extremely hot weather that followed. While overall yields were lower, quality was high due to good crop management and soil water management by weed control and mulching. The grapes were picked at slightly lower sugar levels than normal to make sure we retained freshness and acidity in the grapes.

Miles Mossop Wines burst onto the scene in 2004 when the first wines were made: Max 2004 and Saskia 2004. Max is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Petit Verdot and more recently Malbec and Saskia a blend of Chenin blanc Viognier and more recently Clairette blanche. Later in 2009 a third wine was introduced the Kika 2009 a botrytised wine made in the Noble Late Harvest style from 100% Chenin blanc.
