G.O.A.T Greatest of All Time Chenin Blanc

The grapes were hand-picked in the early morning to preserve freshness, de-stemmed, and given three hours of skin contact before pressing. The juice was clarified to ensure only clear juice was used for fermentation. Ninety percent of the wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks at cold temperatures to retain fruit purity, while the remaining ten percent was fermented in 500-litre French oak barrels to contribute texture and complexity. The wine was aged on its lees for six months before bottling to enhance mouthfeel.

The grapes are sourced from 41- and 48-year-old dryland bush vines in Paarl, planted in decomposed granite soils ideally suited to Chenin Blanc. These unirrigated vineyards rely solely on natural rainfall, and the naturally balanced, low-yielding vines produce small berry clusters with good natural acidity and concentrated flavours. The 2025 harvest, marked by slightly below-average yields due to dry late-summer conditions, delivered excellent grape quality with well-preserved acidity and sugar balance.

Aged for six months on lees in stainless steel and French oak before bottling. Intended for immediate enjoyment, with potential to age gracefully for up to two years from vintage.
