Roussanne

A white grape from the Rhône region in France (and one of only six white grapes allowed in Châteauneuf du Pape) with russet coloured berries and a flowery, herbal tea aroma. This grape produces pungent white wines rich in honey and pear flavours with a roasted nut, pepper and peach aroma and a silken texture. Roussanne is most expressive either within the first few years after bottling or after a good 15 to 20 years of cellaring.
