Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey is a distinguished American whiskey brand, launched in 2017 by Fawn Weaver. It honours Nathan "Nearest" Green, a formerly enslaved man who is recognized as the first African American master distiller and who played a crucial role in teaching Jack Daniel the craft of distilling. The brand is notable for its rapid growth and significant impact, becoming the most awarded American whiskey and bourbon brand in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Uncle Nearest is made using the traditional Lincoln County Process, which involves filtering the whiskey through sugar maple charcoal, contributing to its smooth, distinctive flavour.
