Sicario is a triple distilled, oak matured, Karoo Agave. The blue agave comes from a plantation in the Karoo and using pure mineral water, the true spirit of the agave is released and triple distilled. Mellowed and tamed through the artful manipulation of oak and time, the result is a smooth and mature finish.
Sicario is a refined mezcal crafted from blue agave grown in South Africa’s Karoo region. It delivers a smoky yet smooth flavour profile, skillfully mellowed through oak maturation for a mature and nuanced experience. Savoury with a pleasing backbone of spice and wood, the taste is complex yet balanced ideal for sipping neat or over ice.
Nose:
Prominent wet smoke gives way to clean, fresh agave aromas reminiscent of aloe and melon. Oak driven notes of vanilla and cinnamon add warmth and complexity.
Palate:
Smooth and viscous, the palate unfolds with peppery spice balanced by subtle nutty and buttery undertones. The oak influence is pronounced but harmonious, with a gentle smoky presence complementing the agave.
Finish:
Pleasantly lingering, the finish highlights caramelised grain notes (think oats) alongside soft spice and a smooth oak residue.
