Big Peat is a well-known brand of blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing & Co., an independent family-owned Scotch whisky business established in 1948. The brand is renowned for its bold, smoky flavors derived from a variety of heavily-peated Islay malts. Big Peat represents a blend of whiskies from several famous distilleries on the Isle of Islay, including Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore, and even the closed distillery Port Ellen.
