Vouvray Moelleux

Pairs perfectly with pork roast, blue cheeses, fruit-based desserts, chicken tagine with preserved lemon, shrimp dishes or fresh fruit salad.

Sourced from old-vine Chenin Blanc (approx. 45 years old) planted on clay, flint and limestone (“tuffeau”) soils in Vouvray. The vines are organically farmed with mechanical under-row grassing and hand-harvested with sorting.

Elevaged in French oak barrels (400 L, 2nd–3rd fill) for 8–12 months without malolactic fermentation.

Grapes are hand-picked when overripe for natural sweetness. Whole-bunch pressing is followed by fermentation with indigenous yeast. No malolactic fermentation occurs. Maturation on fine lees takes place for 8–12 months in 400 L oak barrels (2nd–3rd fill).

Domaine Vincent Carême is a distinguished organic winery located in Vernou-sur-Brenne, within the Vouvray appellation of the Loire Valley, France. Established in 1999 by Vincent Carême, a first-generation winemaker from a cereal farming family, the estate has become a leading force in the revitalization of Vouvray wines. Vincent's journey into winemaking began at the age of 14 under his grandfather's guidance, and after completing his viticulture studies, he gained practical experience before founding his own domaine.
