Domaine Vincent Carême is a distinguished organic winery located in Vernou-sur-Brenne, within the Vouvray appellation of the Loire Valley, France. Established in 1999 by Vincent Carême, a first-generation winemaker from a cereal farming family, the estate has become a leading force in the revitalization of Vouvray wines. Vincent's journey into winemaking began at the age of 14 under his grandfather's guidance, and after completing his viticulture studies, he gained practical experience before founding his own domaine.
Description
The 2022 Le Clos is the most structured and intense expression of Chenin Blanc from Vincent Carême’s domaine. Concentrated yet precise, it shows rich orchard and stone fruits balanced by a tangy acid line and a pithy, mineral drive. Already tidy and harmonious, yet clearly built for long-term ageing, this wine epitomizes the chalky finesse of its limestone terroir.
