Vouvray Le Clos

A serious and gastronomic wine that shines alongside roasted poultry, guinea fowl, veal, lobster, scallops, and rich shellfish dishes. It also pairs well with creamy risottos, aged goat cheese, and earthy truffle-infused preparations.

Le Clos comes from an old Chenin Blanc vineyard directly behind the winery — a steep, chalky site that yields highly concentrated and mineral-driven fruit. Farmed organically, the vines express the purity and tension of Vouvray’s limestone soils.

Hand-harvested fruit is fermented naturally with indigenous yeasts and matured for 12 months in French oak barrels. This careful élevage brings texture and complexity while preserving the site’s inherent precision and minerality.

Domaine Vincent Carême is a distinguished organic winery located in Vernou-sur-Brenne, within the Vouvray appellation of the Loire Valley, France. Established in 1999 by Vincent Carême, a first-generation winemaker from a cereal farming family, the estate has become a leading force in the revitalization of Vouvray wines. Vincent's journey into winemaking began at the age of 14 under his grandfather's guidance, and after completing his viticulture studies, he gained practical experience before founding his own domaine.
