Vincent Careme
Domaine Vincent Carême is a distinguished organic winery located in Vernou-sur-Brenne, within the Vouvray appellation of the Loire Valley, France. Established in 1999 by Vincent Carême, a first-generation winemaker from a cereal farming family, the estate has become a leading force in the revitalization of Vouvray wines. Vincent's journey into winemaking began at the age of 14 under his grandfather's guidance, and after completing his viticulture studies, he gained practical experience before founding his own domaine.
Description
The 2023 vintage of Le Peu Morier shows a compelling balance of elegance and power. Already expressive despite its firm and structured core, it reveals layers of orchard fruit, lightly honeyed yellow plum, white flowers, and a subtle saline edge. Underpinned by flinty minerality and a vibrant acidity, it promises further complexity with age.
Food Pairing
Its depth and mineral backbone make this wine a superb match for richer dishes such as roast guinea fowl, lobster, veal with cream sauce, or aged goat’s cheese. It also pairs beautifully with earthy mushroom-based dishes and shellfish.
