Vincent Careme
Domaine Vincent Carême is a distinguished organic winery located in Vernou-sur-Brenne, within the Vouvray appellation of the Loire Valley, France. Established in 1999 by Vincent Carême, a first-generation winemaker from a cereal farming family, the estate has become a leading force in the revitalization of Vouvray wines. Vincent's journey into winemaking began at the age of 14 under his grandfather's guidance, and after completing his viticulture studies, he gained practical experience before founding his own domaine.
Description
An exciting and raw Pétillant Naturel from Vouvray, the Plaisir Ancestral is vibrant and refreshing without being overly funky or cloudy. The bubbles are fine and gentle, delivering notes of sour-fresh citrus, orchard fruit, subtle yeasty character, and a hint of salinity. Bright, lively, and brilliantly suited as an aperitif.
Food Pairing
A brilliant aperitif wine that pairs seamlessly with oysters, sushi, smoked salmon, goat cheese, fresh salads, and light charcuterie. Its lively acidity and fine bubbles also make it a great match for fried foods.
