85 years in the making. A new way into Boland Cellar.

85 years in the making. A new way into Boland Cellars.
Togetherness has always been at the heart of Boland. What comes next is worth discovering.
By

There's something rather lovely about a name that's been part of South African tables for generations. But familiarity doesn't mean you've seen everything. Built on the belief that you can do more together than alone, Boland Cellar has always been about bringing people together. Now, we're making room for a new chapter.

We've created a permanent home for Boland Cellar on Port2Port. It's more than just a spot for your new favourite bottles: it's a not-so-secret stash of special releases, rare vintages and a few surprises worth making room for.

Take the new Reserve Old Vine Chenin Blanc, which picked up its first accolade before it had even reached our shelves: 92 points from Winemag. Not a bad way to make an entrance. Luckily, we've got it.

For those who appreciate a good red blend without the hefty price tag, the One Formation Red gets our vote. Shiraz-led, with rich black cherry fruit, a little spice and a floral lift from Viognier, it's the sort of bottle we'd happily bring to the table.

And if you remember the Reserve Red making an impression at the Trophy Wine Show, we'd encourage you to give its white counterpart a little attention too. The Reserve White puts Boland's signature Chenin Blanc front and centre, with a backing chorus of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Roussanne. The result is utterly delicious, nothing more, nothing less.

Oh, and we did promise you some rare vintages, didn't we? Well, would a 1994 and a 1999 Muscadel scratch your library-vintage itch? Plucked from quiet corners of the cellar, consider these small bottled histories a chance to taste a very different chapter of Boland.

So go on, peruse. Get to know our new Boland destination. There's plenty to discover, and this is just the beginning.
