From vineyards on the foothills of the mountains surrounding Paarl, planted in well-drained decomposed granite soils. The warm climate develops concentrated natural sugars and ripe fruit character.

Bottled after fortification and stored in Boland Cellar’s cellar for decades. Extended bottle ageing developed raisin, fruitcake and spice character.

Sun-ripened Muscadel grapes were hand-picked early in the morning and destemmed. Natural fermentation proceeded for several days before fortification with grape-derived brandy spirit to retain natural sweetness.
