Rhenosterbosrug Chenin Blanc

Shellfish, Spicy food, Lean fish, Mild and soft cheese

Roodekrantz is a project that sees two families steeped in wine, namely the Morkels and the Burgers combining to channel old-vine fruit from large commercial blends into premium bottlings. Grapes for this from a 1977 Swartland vineyard.

Their wines are made with minimal intervention in the cellar to allow expression of the character of the vineyards. No new oak ensures the quality of the fruit and terroir shine through in every bottle.

Roodekrantz Wines is a South African producer focused on careful vineyard selection, sustainable grower relationships and fruit-led winemaking. With access to certified old-vine blocks and a restrained approach to oak, the range highlights Chenin Blanc and other South African wines shaped by vineyard character rather than heavy cellar influence.
