Description
On the Nose: This benchmark Nebbiolo promotes spice and favours of the earth. There is a herbaceous intensity of lilac, thyme and lavender as well as a spice sweetness of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. Followed by subtle notes of sour cherries and leather. On the Palate: Flavours are complex, lingering and enticing brought together with sweet strawberry, pomegranate and a cherry acidity zing. Well rounded tannins abound and form the tactile aspect to a thought-provoking experience.
Food Pairing
Fragrantly superb on its own, this wine also pairs well with rich food such as prime cut of beef accompanied by a rich sauce and is wonderful with risotto ai quattro formaggi. It complements wild mushrooms, mature cheeses, dark cacao chocolate and something sweet.
