Caruso Sangiovese Rose

In its food-friendly, easy to drink style, the Sangiovese Rosé pairs well with many dishes, which range from fresh summer salads to rich salmon or creamy pasta with prosciutto and asparagus.

The 2025 growing season was defined by a mild, dry climate that laid the foundation for a high-quality vintage. Cold, wet winter with record rainfall in July followed by moderate weather during ripening allowed for even fruit development and steady maturation. Brief heat spikes in December and January were short-lived, and harvest unfolded under consistently dry conditions that supported vine vigour and fruit concentration. The result is a vintage with strong potential for both quality and yield.

Grapes were harvested at three different ripeness levels and fermented with two different yeast strains. Berries were whole bunch pressed and a long and delicate press cycle was chosen to allow for slow extraction of the colour and juice. Fermentation took place in neutral oak for aromatic complexity and colour stabilisation.
