Description
The Batrachella Pinotage 2023 presents a deep ruby colour. Its complex nose features abundant blueberry, blackberry and wild strawberry fruits. These are complemented by intriguing umami elements of cacao nibs and black tea. The local terroir expresses itself through characteristic fynbos floral notes, particularly kooigoed and Imphepo. This well-structured wine delivers a fresh entry. Lively acidity and elegant tannins provide excellent framework. The lengthy finish is highlighted by hints of sweet, fruity Sichuan pepper. It reveals itself as a focused, linear expression with exceptional fruit purity and beautifully balanced vibrancy.
