The 2019 vintage is one of exceptional quality across the board. Conditions were cool leading up to harvest with the drought easing but still generally dry leading to another year with low yields - resulting in concentrated, characterful and ageworthy wines.

Naturally fermented and aged 18 months in older French barrique.

Following careful hand-picking, bunches were destemmed and transferred to fermentation tanks using a gravity system, allowing whole berry fermentation.

Gabriëlskloof produces fine wines that reflect our own terroir's complexity, richness, and diversity, together with some irresistible old vine treasures along the way. As a result, our wines are elegant and complex yet accessible and enjoyable. We are a family-owned and run winery with sustainability, conservation, and community at the heart of our approach.
