Diemersdal
Six generations of Louws have practiced the art of winemaking at Diemersdal since the Estate passed into their hands in 1885. More than 12 decades later Diemersdal is a well-known landmark in the lush Durbanville Valley one of the Cape’s oldest wine regions. Diemersdal forms part of the Wine of Origin Cape Town where cooling mists from the Atlantic Ocean roll over the vineyards every afternoon contributing to the unique character of Diemersdal wines.
Description
A fresh, vibrant expression of Grüner Veltliner with a distinctly cool-climate profile. The nose shows crisp green apple and citrus notes, complemented by subtle white pepper spice and a gentle mineral edge. The palate is light to medium bodied, dry and precise, with lively acidity, clean fruit definition and a refreshing, savoury finish that emphasises balance and drinkability.
Food Pairing
An excellent match for seafood, sushi, fresh salads, asparagus dishes and light poultry. Its natural acidity and gentle spice also pair well with Asian-inspired cuisine.
