Six generations of Louws have practiced the art of winemaking at Diemersdal since the Estate passed into their hands in 1885. More than 12 decades later Diemersdal is a well-known landmark in the lush Durbanville Valley one of the Cape’s oldest wine regions. Diemersdal forms part of the Wine of Origin Cape Town where cooling mists from the Atlantic Ocean roll over the vineyards every afternoon contributing to the unique character of Diemersdal wines.
Description
Purity of fruit is the most pronounced feature of this wine. Made from elevated Sauvignon Blanc vineyards at close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. Notes of citrus zest and lime, paving the way for tropical fruit on the mid-palate, featuring vibrant hints of passion-fruit and gooseberry. Powerful yet elegant, this award winning Sauvignon Blanc combines focus and complexity with the appeal and charm expected from a white wine of true class and a real taste of place.
