The wine undergoes fermentation in open fermenters for 4 days at temperatures between 26°C and 28°C, with punch-downs every 3 hours to ensure optimal extraction. After fermentation, it undergoes malolactic fermentation in 225L French oak barrels, followed by 14 months of maturation in 40% new French oak barrels​.

The grapes come from 26-year-old trellised vines in the Durbanville area. The cool coastal climate of this region enhances the complexity and balance of the wine​.

The wine matures for 14 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which are new. It can be aged for an additional 5 years to enhance its complexity​.
