Rickety Bridge Winery is an historic Franschhoek wine estate. Situated in the renowned Franschhoek valley the food and wine capital of South Africa the Rickety Bridge winery and Country Manor House nestle against the hillside overlooking vineyards and the majestic Wemmershoek Mountains. The land dates back to 1694 when the farms were granted to the first French Huguenots who settled in the area.
Description
Opulent dark fruit is supported by aromatic notes of spice distinctive to Shiraz. The wine is textured, layered and showing elegance and refined structure. Nice savoury and smokey characteristics are evident on the palate. Tremendous fullness, massive supple structure which fills the entire mouth, voluptuous velvety tannins that make the tongue feel gracefully coated. Full-bodied yet refined. A long and enchanting finish leaves one wanting more.
