Coq au vin, ostrich carpaccio, roast duck, red meat or veal.

Vineyards identified in the Franschhoek and Breedekloof regions. Well manicured and settled vines yielding a low 8 tons/ha. Grapes were harvested early February at 24.5 ̊ Balling into small crates with good harvesting conditions throughout.

Total maturation time in barrel was twelve months.

Fermentation took place in an open fermentation tank at 24 ̊C with two to three punch-downs daily. Malolactic fermentation took place in 100% stainless steel tanks.

Rickety Bridge Winery is an historic Franschhoek wine estate. Situated in the renowned Franschhoek valley the food and wine capital of South Africa the Rickety Bridge winery and Country Manor House nestle against the hillside overlooking vineyards and the majestic Wemmershoek Mountains. The land dates back to 1694 when the farms were granted to the first French Huguenots who settled in the area.
