Lighthearted Low-Alcohol Pinotage

This wine pairs well with red meat dishes, but can also be enjoyed with lighter meals such as wild mushroom quinoa risotto or a vegetarian ramen noodle bowl.

The grapes were harvested from bush vine vineyards in the Paarl region. The 2024 harvest began two weeks earlier than the previous year due to elevated early February temperatures. However, unforeseen winds in late November and early December reduced the yield, though the quality remained high.

The wine underwent six months of maturation with French oak staves.

Pinotage grapes, known for small berries and flavour concentration under dryland conditions, were picked at 25° Balling to create a soft and fruity style. 30% of the wine was de-alcoholised mid-fermentation to achieve a lower alcohol level.
