Perdeberg Wines
Perdeberg Group is one of South Africa’s leading wine producers and exporters with its head office situated in the shadows of the Paardeberg Mountain in Paarl. Established in 1941, the company adopted its name from the scores of Mountain Zebra that once roamed the mountain foothills, mistaken for wild horses by the Dutch. With an exceptional portfolio of superior quality brands, Perdeberg markets award-winning wines to a selection of top wine markets around the globe. These include The Dryland Collection, The Vineyard Collection, The Classic Range and Soft Smooth Range. Through our extensive supply network of grapes and wines, we offer customers a complete solution to meet the ever-changing needs of their consumers. The unique composition of our vineyards significantly contributes to the quality of our wines. These dry land bush vines create exceptional fruit concentration than vines subjected to unnatural vineyard practices. The structure and complexity of these smaller berries bring intense colour, added body, and bold flavours. Perdeberg Cellar's unique composition of vineyards significantly contributes to the quality of our wines. Our vineyards cover more than 2500 ha and are mostly un-irrigated and un-trellised, yielding a very low long-term average of 8 tons per hectare. Under these conditions, Mother Nature produces her best fruit with intense colour, added body and passionate flavours. These vines allow our winemaking team to produce an internationally well-awarded wine arrangement, enjoyed around the world.
