Nederburg Double Barrel Reserve

Pairs wonderfully with hearty South African dishes like braai, stews, and red meat, as well as rich chocolate-based desserts​.

The grapes are sourced from premium vineyard sites in the Western Cape. The blend includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Malbec, each contributing to the wine's complexity and depth​.

Aged in French oak barrels for a total of 12 months, with a small portion aged in new oak. The wine is drinkable now but can also be cellared for further development.

The unique "double barrel" technique involves aging each variety separately in oak for 12 months, followed by blending. After blending, the wine is returned to oak barrels for an additional maturation phase to further refine its texture and flavor​.
