Jan Fiskaal Merlot

This versatile Merlot pairs well with pizzas and most meat dishes, including beef, lamb, and veal.

Sourced from selected dry-farmed vineyards in the Agter-Paarl region of the Western Cape, South Africa. The unirrigated vines produce naturally low yields with small berries, contributing to concentrated flavors.

Matured in mostly American oak barrels for 12 months, with a small portion left unoaked to enhance softness and complexity.

The grapes were fermented over 7 days in stainless steel tanks with regular pump-overs. Post-fermentation, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in tanks.
