A modern Shiraz with a fresh approach. A combination of whole bunch (cluster) fermentation (50%) and the more traditional crushed and destemmed (50%) component, captures the cooler nuances of the site, expressed in fresh fruit, pin-point tension on the palate and drinkability. The 12% Mourvedre blended with the Shiraz brings a warmth and finishing touch to this wine. We finalise the blend before the wine goes into French oak (Foudres - 6000L wooden).

Well-drained soil; good water retention. Important percentage of clay in topsoil.

This ensures a beautiful “marriage” between the different varietals over a 24 month period in oak. Post bottling, we then cellar the wine for a further 3-6 months before the wine is released onto the market.
