Reserve Chenin Blanc

This Chenin Blanc pairs well with rich seafood dishes, roasted chicken, and creamy pastas. Its vibrant acidity and complex flavors also make it an excellent match for dishes with buttery or nutty elements​.

This wine is produced from low-yielding Chenin Blanc vines planted in 1972, located on the slopes of Stellenbosch at altitudes of 250 to 300 meters above sea level. The vineyards are planted in decomposed granite soils, which contribute to the wine's minerality and structure. The cool breezes from nearby False Bay help maintain freshness and balance in the grapes, essential for crafting a high-quality Chenin Blanc​.

A portion of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation to enhance the mouthfeel. The wine is aged on its lees for 10 months, which contributes to its creamy texture and complexity​.

The grapes are handpicked in the early morning to preserve their freshness and undergo whole-bunch pressing. Fermentation occurs naturally in French oak barrels, with 20% new oak, using indigenous yeasts.

This allows for the production of finely poised, ethereal Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay, as well as sophisticated, highly aromatic Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. In keeping with their vinous philosophy, the estate is farmed regeneratively, fostering biodiversity and soil vitality to create a balanced, living ecosystem in the vineyards.
