Cederberg
Cederberg is a high-altitude wine estate in the remote Cederberg Wilderness Area, owned by the Nieuwoudt family for generations. With vineyards surrounded by rugged mountain terrain, the estate is known for Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and other South African wines shaped by altitude, isolation and dramatic growing conditions.
Description
An aromatic Sauvignon Blanc with a combination of tropical, citrus and green aromas. Aromas of gooseberries, guava, lemon zest with hints of asparagus and green fig. A refreshing, crisp acidity finishes off the initial sensation of creaminess on the mid-palate.
Food Pairing
Sauvignon suits most tomato dishes exceptionally well: gazpacho is an all time favorite. A meaty chicken pie, or pea soup works as well. When using vinaigrette this is possibly the wine that will match the food. Ceviche remains an all time winner.
