Cederberg
Cederberg is a high-altitude wine estate in the remote Cederberg Wilderness Area, owned by the Nieuwoudt family for generations. With vineyards surrounded by rugged mountain terrain, the estate is known for Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and other South African wines shaped by altitude, isolation and dramatic growing conditions.
Description
"Sauvignon Gris is often described as the quieter cousin of Sauvignon Blanc, yet the Cederberg version is anything but demure. The 2025 vintage is vibrant and expressive, combining familiar Sauvignon Blanc aromatics with a deeper, more mineral-driven palate. Elegant and poised, it offers more texture and breadth on the palate. This is a wine defined by finesse, where freshness and structure create a fine line of nervous energy running through the palate like a spine." Sandy Harper CWM
Food Pairing
The 2025 Sauvignon Gris with its vibrancy and textural finesse will pair perfectly with clean, lightly aromatic or creamy dishes. Beautiful with grilled line fish with a drizzle of olive oil and herbs or slightly more fragrant steamed mussels with garlic, white wine and parsley. For a fresh take on burrata, replace the customary tomatoes with grilled nectarines for a taste sensation. The flavours in the fruit will make the Sauvignon Gris sing.
