Five Generations Chenin Blanc

Grapes are hand-harvested early in the morning and processed in two ways: a portion is whole bunch pressed, while the remainder undergoes destemming and skin contact. After a day of settling, fermentation occurs naturally in 400L French oak barrels over 40–60 days. The wine is then aged for 10 months with monthly lees stirring (bâtonnage). The barrels are evenly split between first, second, and third fill to maintain a balance of oak influence​.

The grapes are sourced from 15-year-old vines located in the high-altitude Cederberg region. These vines are planted in Glenrosa and Sandstone soils with southwest-facing slopes, providing optimal sun exposure and temperature regulation. The vineyard is trellised using the extended 6-wire Perold system, with a yield of 6–7 tons per hectare​.
