Cederberg
Cederberg is a high-altitude wine estate in the remote Cederberg Wilderness Area, owned by the Nieuwoudt family for generations. With vineyards surrounded by rugged mountain terrain, the estate is known for Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and other South African wines shaped by altitude, isolation and dramatic growing conditions.
Description
A complex chenin blanc expressing pure fruit aromas, baked apples and delicate spice complimented with roasted almonds and citrus notes. A great balance between fruit and oak with a creamy and lively finish.
Food Pairing
A slightly nutty sauce with white meats, Cape “smoor snoek” works great. Try mushroom risotto or “Butter chicken” – both a winning combination. A burnt sage butter pasta ravioli is the best.
