Reserve Chenin Blanc

Enjoy with seafood, fish, poultry or pasta.

Grapes for this wine are hand-picked in the early morning from Cavalli's vineyards, which benefit from rich koffieklip soils and cooling late afternoon breezes from False Bay. This unique terroir contributes to the wine's distinctive character.

We started harvest at first daylight for the 4 separate pickings. The pickings separated the 4 different terroirs we have noticed in the vineyard. All the grapes were whole bunch pressed and the juice allowed to settle of 2 days. According to the terroir we then inoculated with pure yeast strains to respect and develop the best flavour profile of that specific picking. All the batches were fermented in 225, 300 and 500L barrels. Total time on lees was 7 months.
