This is a range created in recognition of the Cape of Good Hope’s vinous heritage which stretches back more than 350 years when the first Governor of the Cape planted grapes. These unique wines are the result of irreplaceable parcels of old vines and site specific terroirs. The labels reflect the grape variety as well as the origin and singular characters behind them.
Description
Bold raspberry and youngberry aromas which mingle with a deeper leather nuance. Lively juicy palate with ripe red and blue fruit flavours. ere’s a subtle squeeze of oak tannin but it remains well structured and effortlessly smooth textured yet simultaneously succulent. Harmonious and approachable but with gentle gravitas.
Food Pairing
Grilled or slow-cooked sausages, beef, and lamb all do a great job of bringing out the sweeter notes of Pinotage and bring out the wine's inherent smokiness.
