Description
“As the name suggests, this Pinotage hails from a vineyard planted in 1953; a small 1.85ha block of low-yielding bush vines. There's a notable sense of place in the glass, with distinctively fragrant aromas of herbaceous blackcurrant, with notes of menthol and spearmint. Really fresh and juicy black berries and plums on the palate, laced with peppermint; spicy cassis – very elegant and lifted, with a pure, polished fruit profile that sings in the glass. Earthy smokiness on the finish.
