Weingut Baron Knyphausen
Weingut Baron Knyphausen is a historic winery located at the Draiser Hof in Eltville-Erbach, within Germany's renowned Rheingau wine region. The estate's origins date back to 1141, initially serving as an agricultural hub for the nearby Eberbach Abbey. Since 1818, it has been under the stewardship of the Barons zu Knyphausen, with the current proprietor being Frederik zu Knyphausen. The winery cultivates approximately 18 hectares of vineyards, predominantly planted with Riesling (75%) and Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir). Notably, they also nurture Roter Riesling and maintain a historical vineyard with mixed grape varieties. Their esteemed vineyard sites include Erbacher Marcobrunn, Erbacher Hohenrain, Erbacher Steinmorgen, and Erbacher Michelmark.
