Wade Bales Constantia White

A blend of 7 different parcels from various estates in Constantia, each with their own vinification methods. The Sauvignon Blanc portion had 600 liters of fresh tank fermented wine, and 1 000 liters of barrel fermented wine. The Semillon, 1 025 lit, was all barrel aged and fermented. The final blend was made in September 2023, and the wine was cold stabilised with CMC and filtered before bottling.

Constantia is the birthplace of South African wine. The region enjoys a maritime climate on the slops of Table Mountain, cooled by sea breezes from False Bay offering the perfect conditions for white wine varieties like Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Given the prime position of the area, this closely knit group of winemakers has honed a unique style of wine that can be considered a world-class benchmark.
