With layers of complexity, the wine shows stone fruit and citrus blossom on the nose. Time in the glass reveals tropical fruit, toasted almonds, and hints of asparagus. The palate has beautiful intensity. Lemon zest and white peach follow on the palate, supported by toasted oak and a touch of herbaceousness. The wine has a lovely long finish framed by fresh, natural acidity. Drinking beautifully now but will improve in the bottle for the next 3 to 5 years.

Constantia is the birthplace of South African wine. The region enjoys a maritime climate on the slops of Table Mountain, cooled by sea breezes from False Bay offering the perfect conditions for white wine varieties like Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Given the prime position of the area, this closely knit group of winemakers has honed a unique style of wine that can be considered a world-class benchmark.
