We are a small family wine business focussed on creating the most terroir-specific wines, predominantly from certified heritage vineyards. In every wine, we create the image of the vineyard, inclusive of soil and surrounding. We produce relatively small scale wines and focus on exclusivity and exceptional quality, demonstrating a viticultural area and grape typicity. Our objective for future wines is to locate vineyards whose story needs to be told, thereby creating unique styles of wine that will intrigue wine enthusiasts from around the globe. At Van Blommestein Wines, our quest is to create a wine, capturing the uniqueness of the terroir, right into our bottles.
Description
This wine has a vibrant pale lemon colour. On the nose this wine has great intensity of wet stone, struck match, pear and white peach notes. On the palate this wine integrates beautifully with a fresh acidity and a lovely textural feel that coats the whole palate. This textural feel is enhanced by the fact that this vineyard is 41 years old. The aromas linger beautifully in conjunction with the body of the wine and offer a wine with a generous finish.
