Van Blommestein Wines sources these grapes from a heritage vineyard block in the Breedekloof region. These soils speak volumes being alluvial based with mountain and river rocks. This unique soil is what adds to the beauty of this wine sensorily.

We are a small family wine business focussed on creating the most terroir-specific wines, predominantly from certified heritage vineyards. In every wine, we create the image of the vineyard, inclusive of soil and surrounding. We produce relatively small scale wines and focus on exclusivity and exceptional quality, demonstrating a viticultural area and grape typicity. Our objective for future wines is to locate vineyards whose story needs to be told, thereby creating unique styles of wine that will intrigue wine enthusiasts from around the globe.
