The Mira Chardonnay

Chardonnay pairs well with oily, flaky fish, chicken breast and soft or semi soft cheeses.

A cool and wet ripening season meant little irrigation was necessary yet careful canopy management was required to avoid vigorous vineyard growth. Uneven budding was experienced on certain cultivars, which was carefully managed, but others, like Sauvignon Blanc thrived. Veraison was earlier than in the previous season and was even, due to our cool climate location. Precipitation during the ripening period delayed harvest and management of the accompanying disease pressure was necessary. Despite the challenging season, our well managed vineyards produced high-quality grapes.
