Tommasi
Established amidst the enchanting Belle Époque era in 1902, when Giacomo Battista Tommasi wed Augusta, the family embarked on a journey that would shape Verona's winemaking landscape. Transitioning from mere cultivation to envisioning wine as a refined product for celebrations, Giacomo laid the foundation for their legacy in Valpolicella. Enduring two world wars, Giacomo's sons, Sergio, Franco, Ezio, and Dario, persevered, fostering growth in Pedemonte. In the post-war boom, they spearheaded a modern expansion, acquiring vineyards across Valpolicella Classica and Veronese denominations like Lugana, Bardolino, Custoza, and Soave. In the 1970s, their vision materialized with the establishment of a contemporary winery and offices, marking a pivotal moment in their evolution. With unwavering dedication to vineyard ownership and quality control, the company endeavoured to oversee every aspect from vine to table under the Tommasi label. Assuming leadership roles in 1997 as the fourth generation, they propelled the winery's growth forward. Strategic acquisitions, including the expansive Tenuta Prunea and esteemed vineyards like Conca d'Oro and La Groletta in 2000, fortified their presence in Valpolicella. Beyond Veneto, they expanded around Lake Garda and ventured into new territories, perpetuating their commitment to excellence. Today, guided by their rich heritage and a relentless pursuit of quality, Tommasi Wine Producers remains a beacon of Italian winemaking, blending tradition with innovation to craft wines that captivate palates worldwide.
