Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is a great option for food pairings. It pairs well with lightly flavoured dishes like risotto, salmon and mild beef dishes.

Cool summer days with very little rain, resulting in ideal growing conditions for grapes.

This Pinot Noir was aged in French oak barrels for 9 months.

De-stalked, hand sorted, crushed and pumped into stainless steel tanks with 10% whole bunch added. Pushed down for 5 days, racked to barrel for malolactic fermentation.

Sutherland Vineyards is situated just 9 kms off the Atlantic Ocean with altitudes of 140 to 250 meters above sea level. The cool maritime climate allows for slower ripening than in other Cape Wineland areas producing wines with vibrant concentrated fruit flavours and an elegant minerality. All Sutherland wines are bottled and produced at the estate in Stellenbosch.
