plated in 1992 this single site, Cinsault lies on the foothills of the Helderberg, False Bay, Stellenbosch. The vineyard is low lying on the flat, ancient, sandy seabed. Capturing a moment in the life of this 100% bushvine, dryland-farmed Cinsault to truly express the character of the vineyard. Using a natural approach, we aim to harmonize the finess of ripe fruit tannins with the tight structure of stemmy tannins. The wine highlights both the vineyard's unique qualities and its versatility, making it ideal for a wide range of occasions, particularly when paired with food. The grapes were picked on the 2nd of March 2023.

The grapees were spontaneously fermented with 30% whole clusters in open casks and matured in a blend of 40% concrete, with the concrete egg preserving the fruit and tightening the dry tannins, providing tension to the wine's core. 60% older French oak barrels, which soften and round the tannins while enhancing complexity. The wine was bottled on the 21st November 2023.
