Lafazanis Winery, established in 1946 by Vasilis Lafazanis, is a historic and prestigious winery located in the Nemea region of Greece. Now managed by the third generation of the Lafazanis family, the winery has evolved significantly over the years. It originally began in Piraeus and later moved to its current location in the village of Archaies Kleones (ancient Cleonae) in Nemea. Lafazanis Winery is known for its commitment to quality and tradition, utilizing handpicked organic grapes from local varieties to produce their wines. The winery's facilities blend modern technology with traditional wine-making methods, and it's surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards.
Description
Appearance: Medium lemon. Nose: Notes of stone fruits with touches of minerality and botanical hints. Palate: Dry, with refreshing acidity and a full body. High intensity in mouth and a long finish. Aromas of lemon and lime, pineapple and mango, presence of white fleshy peach, with herbal dimension of lemongrass, chamomile and thyme, minerality and subtle notes of white pepper, honey and honeycomb.
