Lafazanis Winery, established in 1946 by Vasilis Lafazanis, is a historic and prestigious winery located in the Nemea region of Greece. Now managed by the third generation of the Lafazanis family, the winery has evolved significantly over the years. It originally began in Piraeus and later moved to its current location in the village of Archaies Kleones (ancient Cleonae) in Nemea. Lafazanis Winery is known for its commitment to quality and tradition, utilizing handpicked organic grapes from local varieties to produce their wines. The winery's facilities blend modern technology with traditional wine-making methods, and it's surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards.
Description
Appearance: Medium ruby. Nose: Aromas of red fruits with a discreet presence of black ones, plant notes and spice characteristics. Palate: Dry medium acidity, fresh & round tannins and low alcohol. Medium body with clarity on taste returns. Finish with duration. Aromas of red plum, cherry and forest fruits, with notes of red pepper and tomato's leaves. Eccentric presence of pink pepper and sweet spices, such as clove, cinnamon and allspice.
