Project Z Stellenbosch Syrah

Beef, Lamb, Game (deer, venison), Poultry

This example of classic cool-climate Syrah is made from two vineyards set on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean at False Bay.

A portion of whole-bunch ferment elevates the wine with a vivid brightness, while maturation in a combination of clay amphorae and older 300l barrels provides depth, nuance and layered complexity.

Kleine Zalze wines are marked by a classical structure and complexity matched by a vibrant flavour intensity. Discernibly South African in style, they are refreshing, beautifully balanced and well-suited to food. Our wines are made according to traditional methods with minimal cellar intervention, but supported by modern equipment.
