Reserve Sauvignon Blanc

The crisp acidity and herbaceous character of this wine make it an excellent companion to a variety of dishes. It pairs particularly well with fresh goat cheese, enhancing the creamy texture and tangy flavors. Additionally, its refreshing qualities complement spicy dishes, such as Thai green curry, by balancing the heat and accentuating aromatic spices.

Grapes for this wine are sourced from three distinct vineyard sites across Stellenbosch, Elim, and Darling, each offering unique flavor profiles. The vineyards are situated on varied soils, including decomposed granite, "Koffieklip," yellow and red ferricrete, and white quartz. The diverse terroir contributes to the wine's complexity and depth.

In 1993 hospitality industry veteran Ken Forrester and his wife Teresa purchased the historic Scholtzenhof estate nestled at the base of the Helderberg in Stellenbosch. Originally established in 1689 as Zandberg the property is one of the oldest wine farms in the Cape. Ken enlisted the help of his winemaker friend Martin Meinert in replanting and revitalizing the vineyards with an aim to craft a white wine that could rival any in the world! And so it was that Ken Forrester Vineyards was established with a focus on Chenin Blanc production.
